On Friday 11th September, Year 11 pupils carried out the second part of their fieldwork enquiry. They visited the River Calder to measure the river’s width, depth, velocity and bedload. The group also stopped in Garstang to examine the hard and soft engineering strategies used along the River Wyre. We were very fortunate that the weather was kind to us. Pupils will use the data collected to support their learning and preparation for their GCSE examinations next summer.
